Professional profile

Associate Dean and Associate Professor in the Department of Economics of Universidad del Pacífico and Researcher at the UP Research Center (Centro de Investigación de la Universidad del Pacífico, CIUP) and director of the Master's in Economics at the Graduate School. He has a Doctorate in Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Center for Monetary and Financial Studies CEMFI (Spain), and a Licentiate (professional license) in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico. Lavado has teaching experience at the Graduate School of Universidad del Pacífico in the Masters in Economics, Social Investment and Public Management. As well as at the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance, OSIPTEL, the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies and the International Monetary Fund. In addition, he has served as a Professional Associate at the World Bank and as an Assistant Researcher at the Bank of Spain and CEMFI.
