Full-time Professor in the Department of Engineering and Researcher at Universidad del Pacífico Research Center. She is a Doctor (Ph.D.) in Statistics from the Universidade de Sao Paulo, Master of Science in Statistics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas. She is also a Statistical and Computer Engineer from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina. She has served as an undergraduate and graduate professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. As a professor, she has been in charge of various courses in the area of statistics and also computer science. In addition, she has experience as a consulting analyst in the pharmaceutical market research area at IMS Health. She is conducting various investigations in the area of regression models, finite mixture of distributions and asymmetric distributions. Her doctoral thesis work focused on the study of a new family of asymmetric distributions associated with the Birnbaum-Saunders distribution. This work focused especially on the regression model and diagnostic analysis. She has also developed various statistical packages in R available from CRAN (bssn, FMsmsnReg and ssmsn).
