Full-time Professor of the Department of Business Administration at Universidad del Pacífico, he has an outstanding academic background in the area of Statistics. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the Universidade de São Paulo, as well as a Master of Science in Statistics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas. He also holds a licenciatura in Statistics from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.

He has carried out an outstanding work as a teacher at different academic levels. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, including a master's degree program in Statistics, as well as in continuing education programs such as the Diploma in Applied Statistics at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Among the courses he has taught are Data Mining, Multivariate Analysis and Statistical Learning, among others.

Currently, he is immersed in several research projects in the area of regression models, asymmetric distributions and finite mixture of distributions. During his doctorate studies, he focused on the extension of finite mixtures in regression models, which demonstrates his extensive experience in the field of statistics. In addition, he has developed multiple statistical packages in R, available in the CRAN, such as bssn, FMsmsnReg, among others. He is a member of the American Statistical Association, the International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics and the Brazilian Statistical Association, which shows his commitment to the development and dissemination of statistics in various academic communities.
