Resumen

This study analyzes the influence of informality, defined through a new approach (Darbi et al. 2016) on innovation, through the analysis of the institutional, industry, and resource factors. We collect information from 14,240 firms in Peru and used Chi-Square and Tests of Contingency tables to analyze this new mechanism. We found that the variables of the strategy tripod influence the informal practices of the formal firms, and these practices decrease the innovation activities.
