Abstract

In this study we analyze how the Intrapreneurship and the corporate entrepreneurship can be considered business renewal strategies, based on the results obtained in Global Entrepreneurshio Monitor Report (GEM) of Colombia. The Intrapreneurship has been studied both in academia and business, mainly in two directions: first, intrapreneurs employees who develop alternative forms of business and Second, the corporate entrepreneurship that seeks new forms of business from within the organization. These are new forms of business or the creation of new companies, from the efficient use of available resources and the recognition of opportunities for improvement and innovation in business. The results of the analysis show that the Colombian companies follow mainly traditional business models and renewal strategies based on Intrapreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship, do not present significant results, being justified by the orientation of the economy driven by factors.
