Abstract
In the "repartimiento" of Andaxes, of the Cajatambo's "corregimiento", during the first months of 1663 a settlement of accounts occurs among the population, introducing war elements to obtain the destruction of the "encomendero's" house (symbol of the Spanishauthority) and of the "obraje" (way to obtain the best uses of the indian workmanship in the textile production). The predecessors in the region present for the year 1630 four "obrajes" that disposed of sheep in their pastures and neighbouring regions that contribute to obtain the raw material for their work.A new "obraje" was founded in Churin, promoting a new town. The indian labourers revolted against the abuse of the functionaries, claiming the land that was theirs. The Jesuit intervention did not obtain order or pacification.
