Resumen

Labor Politics in Latin America has three interrelated goals: to assess the capacity of working-class organizations to advance their demands in the neoliberal era; to determine the causes and consequences of such capacity; and to assess the alleged beneficial effects of labor markets flexibilization (pp. 3–4). Although previous studies on the region have set similar goals, this book is remarkable because of its comparative perspective and because of its effort to map the most recent changes in Latin America.
