Resumen

Nowadays young students, namely Millennial, are now in the classroom. Therefore, new ways of interaction, teamwork at classrooms as well as technologies need to be implemented by the universities to better enhance the learning process. As part of this experience, the layout of the labs and classrooms, and new tools to motivate the learning experience are important more than before. New methodologies as challenge learning, Capstone projects, action learning, among others, need different layouts that motive the teamwork. Also, new labs require more processing power and flexible platforms to allow the students to develop their projects. With lots of restrictions at the universities, lecturers need to be more creative to face these new challenges. In the present effort, we develop a matrix with all the considerations required for implementing a Big Data Analytics cloud-based lab based on our experience at the Engineering School at the Universidad del Pacifico.
