In developing countries, CVD deaths, most specifically circulatory system diseases, were found to be the primary cause of excess deaths indirectly related to COVID-19. This research presents the Peruvian case, between COVID-19 deaths and cardiovascular disease (CVD) deaths during the pandemic, emphasizing public health system impact.
