Abstract

Correspondence of José de la Riva-Agüero (1885-1944) to Don Miguel de Unamuno (1864-1936) covers a critical period in the life of the Peruvian writer (19051914) and provides a significant flow of valuable evidence for understanding Peruvian reality in the first decades of the century and the role it plays in the generation of the twentieth century. It is not possible a real social history without the study of collective mentalities of the bases along with materials and structures of power. Thus it is useful to the Peruvian social history the inquiry in a testimony that, beyond words, the constellations of words and discourse organization results very revealing.
