Abstract

Situated at the intersection of economic sociology and the sociology of work and organizations, this article offers an analytical perspective about the potential of researching business activities to shed light on the dynamics of production and social reproduction in Latin America. The text focuses on three issues, namely, around the notions of culture, institutions and strategies. It offers examples to show their usefulness in illuminating classic and current debates in Latin American labor studies.
