Abstract

All rights reserved. This article analyzes the relationship between competitiveness and innovation in the software industry in a cluster in Jalisco, Mexico. The sources of information used were, primary, through surveys, and secondaries, from public documents of the companies. The data, grouped as factors, were reviewed using a Fuzzy-CSar algorithm. The results show; On the one hand, there is a relationship between the proposed factors: development of skills (training), existence of innovative products (weight in billing), circulation of knowledge (formal and informal cooperation) and the level of sales. On the other hand, the relationship is explained by a translogarithmic approach. From the dynamic capabilities approach, it is evident that the cluster meets evolutionary criteria, specifically; it follows more a coevolution than a competitive model.
