Abstract
This research focuses on the analysis of non-governmental development organizations (NGDOs) that were born in response to the needs that were not addressed by the State. These organizations belong to the third sector and are part of the same civil society. In Peru, the resources that come from non-reimbursable international cooperation are being channeled through NGDOs registered in the Peruvian Association of International Cooperation (APCI). The projects developed by these NGDOs are mainly oriented to the sectors of protection of the environment, health, education, women and children, among others. The
education sector will be taken as a reference for the study, because it allows the social and economic development of the people. The NGDOs need to provide information to the different interest groups or stakeholders with which they are linked with the purpose of legitimating themselves before society, for which they must apply accountability models that allow them to transparently display relevant information and thus be sustainable over time.
