Abstract

Background: Poverty conditions are related to higher prevalence of diseases, particularly infectious ones. In developing countries such as Peru, there are interventions trying to improve the households' living conditions. To assess the impact of rural electrification on health. We carried out a secondary analysis of Survey of Rural Household Energy Use 2013. The dataset included electrified and no electrified Peruvian rural households. 1015 heads families were interviewed but we removed 28 because of missing information, leaving 987householders as the final sample.
