Abstract
This article aims to characterize the dynamic capacity for innovation in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) located in Barranquilla, through the identification of conditions facilitators that promote innovation in processes, products and services. The methodology was guided by the application of the Delphi technique to a panel of experts. The results show that there is a positive relationship between the dynamic capacity for innovation, by means of monitoring capabilities, relationships, design and implementation, and results in innovation of processes, products and services of HEIs. However, despite the HEIs analyzed are developing these capabilities, innovation results are scarce, given that changes that they are making are in a level lower in accordance with the conditions of uncertainty and environmental dynamism.
