Abstract
This article analyze the relationship between participation and learning processes in virtual teams, approach based Van Offenbeek (2001) on team learning as a process derived from the presence of sub-processes, distribution, interpretation and storage and information retrieval. The empirical study was realized at an institution of higher education in Colombia. The results show significant correlations between participation and the sub-processes, information retrieval, distribution and interpretation of data, but not between participation and information storage sub-process and retrieval. Finally, based on the results are proposed practical applications and described the study's limitations.
