Professional profile

Researcher of Universidad del Pacífico. She holds the academic degrees of Doctor and Master in International Economics from the Université de Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, France, and a Bachelor of Economics from Universidad del Pacífico, Peru. She has been a Fellow of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, United States, and a visiting researcher at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, China. 

She has served as Adviser to the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Economy, as well as to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Peru, Adviser to the Presidency of the Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo of Peru and National Coordinator of Peru in the Integration Initiative of the South American Regional Infrastructure. She has also been Executive Secretary of the Peruvian Center for International Studies, Coordinator of the Institute of European-Latin American Relations (in Madrid, Spain), an official of the General Secretariat of the Andean Community, and International Consultant of the Inter-American Development Bank, The Economist Intelligence Unit, and the Brazilian Center for International Relations, among other positions. Her research has given rise to books, chapters, articles, and working papers published in Latin America, Europe, the United States, and China. She has shown interest in issues related to international trade and investment; comparative economic development; infrastructure, connectivity and regional integration. Her current research focuses on the Belt and Road Initiative; China-Latin America economic relations; China-Peru comparative economic development; Asia-Pacific in globalization and opportunities for Peru.
