Professional profile
Dr. Lavado is an associate Professor in the Academic Department of Economics, Vice Dean of Economics in the Faculty of Economics and Finance, and a Member of the Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico. He is also Director of the Master's Degree Program in Economics at the Graduate School. He received a Doctorate in Economics and a Master's degree in Economics and Finance from the Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI; Spain) as well as a Licentiate (professional license) in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico.
Dr. Lavado has taught at at the Graduate School of the Universidad del Pacífico on the Master's Degree Programs in Economics, Social Investment, and Public Management, in addition to the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance (SBS), the Supervisory Body for Private Investment in Telecommunications (OSIPTEL), the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies, and the International Monetary Fund.
He has also served as a Professional Associate at the World Bank and as an Assistant Researcher at the Bank of Spain and CEMFI.
