Professional profile

Ms. Urcia Erazo is a Full Professor in the Academic Department of Accounting and a Member of the Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico. She is currently a PhD candidate in Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds a Magister in Psychology (in partnership with Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands) as well as a Licentiate in Economics from the same university.

She also has a Diploma in Behavioral Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Inter-American Development Bank. Since 2017, she has served as an Academic Assistant in the Academic Department of Accounting at the Universidad del Pacífico. Outside academia, Ms. Urcia has been a consultant in university quality accreditation (PUCP), coordinator of volunteers and investment projects (Korea International Cooperation Agency), and a business intelligence trainee (PromPeru).

At the UP, she has taught the Quantitative Research Methods and Economics Applied to Management 1 and 2, Thesis Projects 1 and 2, Behavioral Economics, Management Accounting, Fundamentals of Accounting, and Research for Accountants courses. In addition, she has been a thesis examiner, a research course examiner, and a thesis advisor.

Her work has been published in high-impact journals and disseminated at local and international conferences organized by the Ministry of Education (Peru), Tec de Monterrey (Mexico), and Fudan University (China), among others. Ms. Urcia has also been an editor and reviewer of articles in international journals and co-edited the research paper Redefiniendo las Fronteras en la Investigación del Profesional Contable: una Perspectiva Disruptiva.
