Professor of the Department of Economics and researcher in the Universidad del Pacífico Research Center. He is PhD in Economics and Master of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA, in the United States and Bachelor of Economics from Universidad del Pacífico.He has extensive experience in managing investment portfolios. Since 2016 he has been the Investment Strategy Manager of Prima AFP and he had previously held similar positions in the investment divisions of Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros and Profuturo AFP. Before studying for his PhD, he served as Assistant to the Chief Economist of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C., and as an economist of Economic Studies of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru.His research focuses on issues of monetary policy and international economics, and he has published in journals such as the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. He has been a referee in specialized magazines such as: Economica, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Journal of International Money and Finance, and International Journal of Central Banking.
