Karlos La Serna Studzinski

Associate Professor of the Department of Economics of Universidad del Pacífico. He is a Master in Sociology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master in Education, with a mention in Teaching and Research in Higher Education, from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. His Bachelor’s degree and Licentiate (professional license) in Economics were obtained from Universidad del Pacífico and he is also a graduate of the technical career of International Business at ADEX. He has a diploma in Higher Education Quality Management from the Consortium of Universities and the Interuniversity Development Center of Chile and has a second specialty in University Teaching from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. He has been responsible for the systematization and evaluation of various productive programs and projects. His research and publications cover the fields of university education, microeconomics, macroeconomics, health policies, and environmental issues. Currently, he works as a Professor of Economics at Universidad del Pacífico undergraduate degree. He regularly offers workshops on higher education didactics and curricular design by competencies aimed at Professors and university authorities of careers linked to the economic-business field. He has been an external consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the AMARES Project of the European Union, the German Development Cooperation (GTZ), the Peruvian Hispanic Cooperation Fund (FONCHIP), the Instituto Peruano de Economía (IPE), of FONDOEMPLEO, among other local and international institutions. In addition, he has been director of Accreditation and Quality at Universidad del Pacífico.
