Professional profile
Full-time Professor in the Department of Economics and Researcher at Universidad del Pacífico Research Center. He is Ph.D. in Economics from the University of San Andrés (Argentina), Master of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University (United States) - ILADES (Chile) and holds a Licentiate (professional license) in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico. He has experience in the public sector in matters of competition policies and regulation of public services infrastructures. He has developed various research on issues of regulation of transport and energy infrastructure, impact evaluations (quasi - experiments) in the education and agriculture sector, and environmental economics. He has been HEAD of Economic Studies at Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y de la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual, INDECOPI (National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property) and the Organismo Supervisor de la Inversión de Infraestructura de Transporte de Uso Público (OSITRAN)(Supervisory Agency for Public Use Transport Infrastructure Investment). He has also served as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), among other public institutions (Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Production, Ministry of Agriculture, Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, Environmental Assessment and Enforcement Agency, INDECOPI and OSITRAN).
