Full Professor of the Department of Engineering of Universidad del Pacífico. He has a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering in the area of Decision Support Methods and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in the area of Computer Systems both from Pontificia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). He is also an electronic engineer and a Bachelor in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa. He is Certified in Risk Management by the International Institute of Professional Education and Research (United States). He has served as an undergraduate and graduate professor at the Pontificia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro, at the Celso Suckow da Fonseca-CEFET / Rio de Janeiro Federal Center for Technological Education, and in the doctoral program in Computer Science at Universidad Nacional de San Agustín of Arequipa. He also has experience as a researcher, coordinator, and leader of scientific research and innovation projects and support solutions for strategic decision making developed for Brazilian companies in the energy, oil and gas sector. He has been a senior researcher at the Applied Computational Intelligence Center of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Pontificia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro; and developed research projects for companies such as Petrobras, Light Servicios de Electricidad S.A., Light ESCO S.A. (Finance and commercialization sector), ONS Operador Nacional del Sistema Electrico-Brasil, AES Eletropaulo, CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnológico, in others. He is currently a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers SPE and the Brazilian Society of Computational Intelligence, a reviewer of newspapers, magazines and international scientific conferences, and a reviewer of projects of the National Agency for Research and Innovation - ANII of Uruguay.
