Mr. Albán González is a Professor in the Academic Department of Law and a member of the Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico. He holds a Master's Degree in Comparative Politics (MSc.) with a specialism in Comparative Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also has a Law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

Mr. Albán González has pursued further specialisation in the fields of electoral law, university teaching, and research methods. His teaching experience spans course such as Introduction to Law and General Constitutional Law at the Universidad del Pacífico; Electoral Analysis as part of the Political Science degree program at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas; as well as Political Science and Ethics and Professional Responsibility for Lawyers at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He also spent  five years as an adjunct professor on the Constitutional Law 1 course at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
 
He has worked in the public sector as a legal assistant to the General Secretariat of Peru's National Elections Board and, subsequently, as a member of the Cabinet of Advisors of that organization. In the private sector, he has served as an analyst to the magazine Semana Económica, a leader writer for the newspaper El Comercio, and a consultant on electoral, constitutional, and political analysis issues for different organizations (including Transparencia, International IDEA, and the 50+1 Political Analysis Group).

Mr. Alban is currently project coordinator – Andean countries at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. He has been a speaker at national and international events on issues of democracy, institutions, and the role of constitutions, besides being a published author across several platforms of articles and other works related to these issues.
