Professional profile

Full Professor of the Department of Economics of Universidad del Pacífico and Principal Researcher of the CIUP. He has a Doctorate in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, is a doctoral candidate in Economics from the University of Rochester (United States), holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Rochester (United States) and a Licentiate (professional license) in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico. He has experience in macroeconomic research. Currently, he is preparing, together with his team of researchers, an analysis of the pension system and personal savings in Peru. He is Vice President of the Peruvian Association of Economic History (APHE) and Director of the magazine Punto de Equilibrio of Universidad del Pacífico. He has been a representative of the National Statistical Advisory Council of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) and member of the Defense Chamber at the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI). Likewise, he has been a member of the Technical Commission for the Improvement of the Macro-fiscal Framework of the Ministry of Economy, of the Macroeconomics Network of the Economic and Social Research Consortium (CIES) and of the Editorial Committee of the magazine Actualidad Económica. In parallel, he has been a consultant for various ministries and other important institutions such as the World Bank, the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), the Grütter Consulting (Switzerland), the International Development Research Center (IDRC), among others.
