Guillermo Alfredo Runciman Saettone

Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at Universidad del Pacífico and Researcher at CIUP. He is an economist engineer from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. He has a postgraduate degree in Macroeconomics and Finance from the Free University of Berlin (Germany). He has extensive experience in teaching and as a speaker at various conferences nationwide. He also held management positions for the Peruvian government and has received the ‘‘Peruvian Cross for Aeronautical Merit’’ award in the ‘‘Officer’’ class, for exceptional and meritorious services for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Peru. He is currently writing a book with his research team on the National and International Financial System. Runciman is a partner and director of Swiss Medical & Financial Group. He has been a public debt advisor in the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, general director of Public Credit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, director of PETROPERU and manager of COFIDE. He has been a member of the External Debt Committee of Peru and a member of the Supervisory Council of the Banco Nacional de Cooperativas (BANCOOP). Likewise, and at the same time, he has undertaken consultancies for institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank, CITIBANK, EMAPE, among others.
