Professional profile

Dr. Salinas Depaz is a Full Professor in the Academic Department of Economics and a Researcher in the Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico. He holds a PhD in Economics from Indiana University, Bloomington (United States); an MA in Economics from the same university; and a Licentiate in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico.

His research focuses on issues related to macroeconomics, quantitative methods, and financial markets, with emphasis on the incorporation of heterogeneity at the micro level, the dynamics of credit conditions, and the prevalence of informal markets. Previously, he worked in the General Directorate of Macroeconomic Policy and Fiscal Decentralization within Peru's Ministry of Economy and Finance. He has also served as a consultant to the World Bank.
