Dr. Astorga is a full professor in the Academic Department of Accounting and a member of the Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico. He holds a Doctorate in Accounting and Business Sciences as well as a Magister in Costs and Strategic Budget Management from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, besides a Licentiate in Management from the Universidad del Pacífico.
He has taught undergraduate courses on fundamentals of accounting, intermediate accounting, cost accounting, and international standards, and possesses experience as a research assistant in the UP Faculty of Marketing and International Business.  Beyond the university, he has acquired professional experience in auditing and accounting at firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, La Fiduciaria, and Hanzo.
His scientific articles on sustainability analysis, financial performance, the circular economy, blockchain, and employer branding have been published in  Scopus- and SciELO-indexed journals. Dr. Astorga also leads academic and applied projects in the areas of capital management, artificial intelligence, and marketing oriented toward innovation, organisational efficiency, and data-driven business decision-making.
