Professional profile

Business historian, Professor in the Department of Humanities at Universidad del Pacífico (Peru) and a member of the History and Entrepreneurship Group at Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). She has a Doctorate degree in Management (2021) from Queen Mary University of London (UK). She is an economist (BSc, 2003) from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and a Master in Economic History (MSc, 2010) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (England). Her research focuses on the evolution of families and business groups since the second half of the 20th century in Latin America, with special emphasis on Colombia and with ongoing work on Peru and Uruguay. She is also interested in issues of economic history and entrepreneurship, as shown by her posts on the NEPHIS Blog and his membership in the Center for Globalization Research (CGR) at Queen Mary University of London. She is a member of the steering committee of the Business History Collective, an external contributor to the REHE bulletin, and a member of the Emerging Scholars Committee of the Business History Conference. She’s currently researching on: Business history, millennial entrepreneurs, business groups, family businesses, economic development, finance, Latin America, Colombia.
